Romantic comedy in which Jean, a shy waiter working in a grand hotel in the south of France, is mistaken for a successful millionaire by beautiful scheming opportunist Irene. When Irene discovers his true identity, she abandons him, only to find that a lovestruck Jean has no intention of letting her get away.
