This week, the musician and academic Kirsteen McCue celebrates Scotland's rich heritage of musical laments and ballads with a collection of programmes from the BBC Radio Scotland archive.

Among the beautiful programmes she'll revisit are an examination of the history behind songs such as The Dowie Dens O Yarrow, Flooers O' The Forest and Ae Fond Kiss.

There's also a fascinating programme on Bob Dylan's passion for Scottish, English and Irisih folk music.
