Today, with the lively debate over the appointment of a new Archbishop of Canterbury in mind, he travels back to the early 13th Century where the struggle was far fiercer. King John was determined to have his man in office, the Church secretly plotted to place their man in power and the Pope was forced to impose a solution that would lead to impasse and Kingly rage.
