Madhur Jaffrey joins The Kitchen Cafe to talk about Scotland's love of curry and give an insight into its changing relationship with Indian food. Plus learning to cook by airmail.

Curry Queen, Madhur Jaffrey joins The Kitchen Café to talk about our nation's love of curry and gives an insight into how our relationship with Indian food has changed. She also shares food stories from her childhood. 

Born in Delhi, Madhur Jaffrey came to London aged 19 to study drama at RADA and pursue her passion for acting. It was here that she learnt to cook, effectively by airmail correspondence with her mother at home in India. Madhur talks about those airmail cookery lessons.

Pennie visits Punjab'n de Rasoi, a community café for Sikh women in Edinburgh where food brings the whole community together.
