Property series. Joe Crowley takes John and Jackie White, who want to leave London and create their dream home beside the sea, to view an empty bungalow on the Essex coast.

In this episode Joe meets John and Jackie White, who plan to leave London for a new life by the sea. They are keen to find an empty property which will maximise their budget and give them the freedom to create their dream home. However, with no experience of renovation they are looking for advice and reassurance. Joe shows them an empty bungalow on the Essex coast that gives them food for thought and then introduces them to a couple who have recently transformed a similar bungalow into a beautiful place to be.

Plus, how Lewisham council are tackling their housing shortage with an inventive scheme to transform disused shops into homes, and another look at the work of Mike Thanet, the empty property officer for the Kent coast.
