On the Strand today we focus on Brazil as part of the BBC's Brazil Direct programme.

The best of the world's arts, film, music and literature brought to you every day. Presented by Anna McNamee.

As the BBC launches its Brazil Direct week, we focus on the largest country in Latin America and hear about the emerging generation of young writers. In Rio we visit the public art exhibition and then catch up with the touring Brazilian Film Festival as it heads for London.
