The Battlefield Band's Mike Katz profiles a mix of Celtic artists appearing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including Dougie MacLean, Kim Edgar, Shooglenifty and Sandy Brechin.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is perhaps best known for its comedy, theatre and dance. 

But in amongst these shows is a rich selection of Celtic, traditional and roots music from some of the finest artists around.
