Pat and Amy come to the rescue of Bessie the sheep.

Aided by his trusty cat Jess, Pat the postman always manages to deliver the mail, no matter what. Alf moves the sheep to a higher pasture.

Alf moves the sheep to a higher pasture, including Bill's pet sheep, Bessie. Meanwhile, Ajay takes Bill, Julian, Sarah, Meera and Lucy on a cross country ramble which will end in a barbecue. 

Bessie escapes and is discovered by Pat stuck on a ledge of a cliff. While Ajay and the kids arrive at the bottom of the cliff, Pat rushes off and gets Amy, who abseils down to rescue the sheep. Unfortunately Amy gets stuck as well, and Pat has to overcome his fear of heights to abseil down and rescue everyone. 

Back on safe ground Bill thanks Pat for rescuing his beloved pet.
