It's the summer holidays and all the children are bored. Ajay and Nisha offer to take Meera on a picnic to cheer her up, but the day is a disaster. Despondently, the Bains family head home. Meanwhile, Ted has accidentally dumped a load of sand onto the village green, which the villagers are having trouble moving. As the Bains family reach the green, Pat welcomes them to Greendale by the Sea.
