The new Archbishop of Glasgow, Philip Tartaglia, has been described as a 'streetfighter' who has pledged to fight for traditional Catholic views. He's been outspoken in his opposition to gay marriage, abortion and assisted suicide.

The House of Commons culture, media and sport select committee is seeking an overhaul of what they are calling 'outdated' gambling laws. Its MPs are arguing that gambling has become a "legitimate entertainment activity" in the UK. They want an end to the maximum of four fixed gaming machines per shop, to scrap the £100 limit on them and for decision making on casinos and gaming to be handed down to local authorities. But critics say it'll just lead to more opportunities for gamblers to lose money.

And Professor Jonathon Rees from the University of Edinburgh's dermatology department talks to Kaye about the danger of sunbeds with the news that one in 20 cases of skin cancer is due to their use.
