Alyn Shipton takes over as presenter of Radio 3's long-running programme of jazz requests.

Alyn Shipton takes over as presenter of Radio 3's programme of listeners' jazz requests. Including tracks by Brad Mehldau, Joe Harriott, Bix Beiderbecke and Nikki Yanofsky.

Alyn Shipton takes over as presenter of this long-running programme of listeners' requests. The music this week includes tracks by pianist Brad Mehldau, Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Marius Neset, Jamaican alto saxophonist Joe Harriott, the cornettist Bix Beiderbecke, the young Canadian singer Nikki Yanofsky and saxophonist Roland Kirk.

Live music and the arts: broadcasts more live music than any other radio network. Classical music is its core. Genres include world and new music, jazz, speech and drama.
