As Phil fights to hold his fractured family together, Jay's whereabouts alarm him.

As Phil desperately fights to hold his family together, Jay's whereabouts alarm him. Lucy arranges a lavish night out for Lauren's 18th. Jean organises a tribute night to Heather.

Jay claims to DS Crisp he saw Andrew in the Square at the time Heather was murdered, he’s innocent. Phil looks for Jay. Phil’s unsettled to find Ben alone with George. Ben panics Jay’s going to grass him up, Phil reassures him. Shirley’s determined to keep George with her. Phil stops Ben from running away, but agrees he can quit school. Jay explains to Phil he only told the police what he had to. Phil admits he’s tired. He insists they can help Ben. Finding Ben crying, Jay hugs him, he wants his brother back. However, Jay promises Ben he’ll put him down if he sees his other side again. After Andrew’s release, Phil gives the boys a pep talk. Going to his room, Ben pulls the bloodstained picture frame out from under his mattress. 
Dot’s mortified when she, Rose and Cora are brought home in a police car. Rose and Cora are keen to celebrate Andrew’s imminent release, Dot thoughts are only for Heather. Rose’s thrilled when Andrew eventually gets home, but Dot’s wary. 
The arrival of Tanya’s sofa prompts a frenzy of cleaning and redecorating. Lauren’s unimpressed to find the family moving her belongings, but is touched to discover they’re throwing her a family birthday party. Lucy’s planned an extravagant eighteenth for Lauren. Whitney can’t afford it, and Lucy’s dismayed when Lauren decides to celebrate in the Vic.
Alfie has money worries, Roxy suggests sacking a chef. Kim votes for Ray, who doesn’t believe she means it. Jean’s distraught when Alfie fires her, but Roxy despairs when he re-hires her as events manager. 
Ian’s family tree includes a variety of different sized photos, so Mandy and Bobby start again.  Though harbouring doubts, Ian eventually agrees Mandy can appear on the family tree.
