Ajay receives a letter telling him that the Greendale Rocket and the station are to be inspected that day. He immediately panics. The Greendale Rocket isn't working and the station is a complete mess. 

Pat quickly rallies the villagers, who arrive to help tidy up the station. Ajay and Ted work on the Rocket but discover that the missing piece needs to be fetched from Pencaster. Pat rushes to Pencaster in his van to collect the missing piece of machinery and the Greendale Rocket is soon running again. 

The train inspector arrives at that very minute and, after a nerve-wracking inspection, the train and station are given a certificate of merit. Ajay thanks Pat and the whole village. He couldn't have done it without them.
