A new listening service in Felixstowe and two Christian writers in Suffolk need your votes

A new listening service starts in Felixstowe and two Christian writers in Suffolk need your votes.

Margaret Bale joins Rob to tell him about the new Felixstowe Listening Service.

Volunteers are based in an upstairs room at Felixstowe library, giving people the opportunity to share their story with trained and professionally-supported listeners, recruited from local churches.

To find out more, anyone can drop-in on Friday mornings (9.15am to 1pm) for a confidential and relaxed chat.

The new service is part of the Ipswich-based Christian charity Inspire Counselling.



Two Suffolk authors go head-to-head in the Christian Book Awards 2012.

They focus on what would sit comfortably on a public library shelf. 

Hannah MacFarlane's Babylon is part of the Dark Chapters series that tell of the darker stories from the Bible.

Babylon tells the story of Daniel, from his exile to Babylon through to the lions' den and beyond. 

Also in the under 18's category is Andrea Skevington's Lion Classic Bible, a reworking of the bible aimed at bringing the stories to a younger audience.

Voting is open to the public.
