China looks east; FTSE 100 directors' pay almost doubles over past year.

The head of the EU bailout fund flies to China to discuss potential support from Beijing. New research from IDS shows the average FTSE 100 director now earns about 2.5m pounds.

Following the announcement of a new Eurozone rescue package, the head of the bailout fund, Klaus Regling, flies to China to discuss potential support from Beijing. 

New research from Income Data Services shows the average FTSE 100 Director now earns about two and a half million pounds. The Resolution Foundation says wage inequality is getting worse, as the bottom half of workers now get only twelve in every hundred pounds of GDP. 

We hear from a UK-based company that exports Tandoori ovens - to India.
