Series following four British and four Australian kids as they travel to the remote Australian outback for an extraordinary month-long adventure. 

The Outback 8 receive some bad news: they all might not make the final muster if they cannot show any improvement in their riding. Tamara looks like the favourite to stay behind when she suffers two massive falls from her horse.

Plus, there is a birthday for one of the jackaroos, but the team's efforts to make it a day to remember are not much appreciated by the group's newest teenager - Maisie. And there is the position of the lead jackaroo to fill, for the final muster. Jack, Dan, Selena and Amity compete for the job, but who will ride off with the prestigious lead jackaroo role?
