A writer's life is ruined when he discovers his girlfriend in bed with another man.

Comedy starring Steve Martin. A struggling, young New York writer has his world turned upside down when he comes home and discovers his girlfriend in bed with another man.

When he meets a melancholy soul mate who befriends him, the writer decides to change his life and writes a book about his experiences, which unexpectedly leads to riches, fame and love.
