From the LA skate punk scene of the 1980s to selling out stadiums around the globe, Red Hot Chili Peppers tell us their story with the help of friends and family.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are undeniably one of the most successful bands in rock history. Over the last 3 decades they've sold more than 60 million albums and gathered a mass following of fans across the globe for their unique sound. 

This is the story of their rise, from being mischievous kids on the streets of 1970's LA, through the classrooms of their old high school and to the clubs of Sunset Strip. We hear first-hand how they coped with the drug addictions that, tragically, led to death of guitarist and close friend Hillel Slovak and the continuous changes to their line up. 

Featuring contributions from Parliament and P Funk's George Clinton, legendary producer Rick Rubin, Will. I. Am from The Black Eyed Peas, Perry Farrell, The Kooks, Pink and Hundred Reasons.
