Harare City Library
Harare City Library in Zimbabwe is urgently in need of funds to update its book collection and repair the crumbling building. Writer Petina Gappah talks about her childhood memories of the library, and the campaign she's running to raise money. 

Elias Khoury
New novel by award-winning Lebanese author is set around 1947. A family tale told through dreams, legends symbols and recollection it parallels the middle east of the time.

Ghostpoet
Nominated for 2011's prestigious Mercury Prize in the UK, this British rapper talks about making music in his bedroom, and how he plans to celebrate, if he wins! 

Chittaprosad
Bengali artist Chittaprosad documented the poor and hungry in his native state, drawing of one of the worst famines of the twentieth century in 1943 when more than 3 million Indians died. We attend the first retrospective of his work.

Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen has died at the age of 96. Garth Cartwright pays tribute to a man who could count Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf among his contemporaries.
