When Angel loses his wings, Mister Sinister offers to replace them. But at what cost?

Animated series. After having his wings damaged beyond repair by the MRD, Angel must come to terms with his loss. But the evil Sinister has other ideas.

When an explosive event shatters the lives of the X-Men and takes away their mentor, the beaten heroes walk away from it all. Wolverine reunites them and embarks on the ultimate mission to prevent the world's destruction.

Warren Worthington Jr has been helping his fellow mutants despite his father's participation in Senator Kelly's anti-mutant campaigns. When Worthington Sr finds his son's efforts interfering with his work, he decides to call the MRD, who hunt down and capture Angel using brute force. 

When his father arrives at the hospital, it is apparent his son is in a grave condition. Many bones are broken, and his wings will need expert surgery if they are to be salvaged. Worthington Sr. makes a decision to save his son's life, but not his wings. 

Waking up from anaesthesia, Angel discovers that his wings have been removed and is completely devastated and enraged. Sinister visits Angel and offers to give him his wings back, but Angel refuses. He escapes the hospital and takes refuge at the X-Mansion, where the X-Men advise Angel to forget about Sinister and his hollow, evil promises. 

But the pain of his loss is too powerful for Angel to overcome and, against his better judgement, he goes to Sinister, who turns him into his own science experiment. With new mechanical wings and Sinister's wicked mind control, Angel becomes the infernal Archangel. 

Armed with a fierce vengeance, he storms his father's pharmaceutical company, who are working on a cure for mutants. He vows to take what is most precious to Worthington Sr: his work. Archangel destroys the facility, and is about to do the same to his father's Sentinel facilities when the X-Men find him. They manage to control Archangel, but only long enough for him to disappear.
