Claims thousands could be denied access to justice under proposed changes to legal aid.

Claims that disabled, vulnerable and disadvantaged people could be denied access to justice under proposed changes to legal aid in England and Wales.

Disabled, abused, vulnerable and disadvantaged people will all be denied access to justice if the government goes ahead with it's planned changes to legal aid in England and Wales. That's the verdict of opponents to the plans who say 725 thousand people will no longer have access to justice. The legal aid budget currently stands at around 2.1 billion pounds a year. The government wants to reduce it by 17.5% or 350 million pounds by 2015.

Also police, social services and charities aren't doing enough to stop the sexual exploitation of children, according to the first ever nationwide investigation of the problem.
