The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education has honoured Sir David Attenborough with a special award for encouraging education through his fabulous BBC natural history programmes.

Twenty five years ago, in 1986, the BBC launched an ambitious project to record a snapshot of everyday life across the UK for future generations. A million volunteers took part…

It may sound like a drunken dare but student Lewis Rowden spent the weekend living like an ape at a zoo to help raise money for charity. 
The third year zoologist, is carrying out a research placement in animal nutrition and  will be raising money for the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria ape campaign, which is aiming to raise one million euros.
