Mary Black enjoys a successful career as a singer of both Irish and contemporary songs.

Sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the business she has recorded numerous albums and has received many international awards.

Recalling the influence singers like Billie Holiday had on her decision to become a singer, Mary also tells Phil Cunningham about her days on the road with the legendary Irish folk group De Dannan. 

Picking her 5 tracks Mary also introduces Phil to one of the new young Irish singers she admires and has high hopes for.
