Facebook and Samaritans launch partnership to help people report suicidal status updates.

Claire Green, whose sister declared her suicide on Facebook, supports the website's partnership with Samaritans. Sussex Police plans to reduce the opening hours of its police station front counters.

Dominic King talks to Claire Green, the sister of Simone Back from Brighton who announced on her Facebook page that she was taking her own life. Claire welcomes a pioneering new partnership between the Facebook and the charity Samaritans.

Dom talks to Assistant Chief Constable Robin Merrett about Sussex Police's plans to reduce the opening hours of its police station front counters. The station in Brighton would shut its doors between midnight and 8am. The front counters at stations in Peacehaven, Lancing, Durrington, Petworth, Selsey, Arundel and Heathfield will be open by appointment only. The plans have gone to Sussex Police Authority for approval.

The campaign group Fair Fuel UK is warning of a fuel price crisis after the price of a litre of unleaded petrol reached £1.41.9 at a garage in Kent. The forecourt on the M2 near Gillingham is also charging £1.45.9 for litre of diesel.
