Cosmic Gate are on the decks for the week's Essential Mix.

German DJs Cosmic Gate (Bossi and Nic Chagall) take control of Radio 1's Essential Mix this week. They've been making music together for over 11 years and they enjoyed Top 10 success in 2001 with the crossover hit 'Firewire'.  They've shifted towards a deeper, edgier sound in recent years, with productions for labels like Maelstrom and remixes for Oceanlab, Deadmau5 and Robbie Rivera maintaining the their position as one of the most in demand acts in trance.
