Animation. An unfortunate incident leaves the colonel in possession of Mum's new curtain material. Dennis must reclaim it before Mum returns home.

Animation. Dennis lives in Beanotown with Mum, Dad, little sister Bea and his pet dog Gnasher. Gnasher is more than a dog to Dennis; he is a kindred spirit. Whatever Dennis does, Gnasher does with him. 

Together with their friends Curly and Pie Face, Dennis and Gnasher believe the world truly is their oyster and that kids should make the rules. Not everyone agrees, including Mum and Dad. But Dennis and Gnasher are not going to let that stand in the way of their pursuit of fun!

Mum has bought curtain material for the soon to be newly decorated kitchen, and asks Dad to look after it while she is out.  However, Dad falls asleep and mistakenly agrees that Dennis can use it as a giant sail. When Dad realises that it has gone, he calls Dennis to bring it back, but unfortunately Dennis gets into a spot of bother with the colonel, who takes the curtain material off Dennis. 

Dennis has to try and steal it back from the colonel, which results in the garden being wrecked, and the kitchen is left looking like a bombsite. Dennis, Gnasher and Dad have to clean up the whole kitchen and redecorate it in time for Mum returning. When Mum arrives, the kitchen is spotless, and she is so happy. When it is time to hang the new curtains, Dennis is about to get the curtain material, but Mum reveals that she has changed her mind and bought new curtains instead.
