John Craven is booked to open the School Fête.  From April 1988.

A crisis looms on the eve of the School Fête - and a challenge for Mr. Beeston. With special guest John Craven. From April 1988.

As Headmaster, Mr Beeston sees it, a problem posed is a problem to be resolved - whether it concerns the school's 'big day', or the future of one little girl.

Ten series of this comedy about King Street Junior School ran between 1985 and 1998. King Street Junior Revisited ran from 2002 to 2005.
