Howard Marks talks to Nemone about the DVD release of Mr Nice, plus there's a playlist from Hercules and Love Affair, and a chat with the creatives behind Clinic's latest video.

Howard Marks joins Nemone for a chat about the DVD release of Mr.Nice an adaptation of his best selling book, Mr.Nice. The movie stars Rhys Ifans, Chloe Sevigny and David Thewlis. Howard is a Welsh author and former teacher and drug smuggler who achieved notoriety as an international cannabis smuggler through high-profile court cases, supposed connections with groups such as the IRA and the Mafia, and his eventual conviction at the hands of the American Drug Enforcement Administration. Following his release from prison, Marks published a best-selling autobiography, Mr Nice.

Blazing a trial with the worldwide club smash Blind, Hercules And Love Affair's self-titled debut garnered considerable critical and commercial acclaim. Named as the Breakthrough Album of the year in The New York Times and featuring in Pitchfork's Top Ten albums of 2008, 

For new album Blue Songs, Herc main man Andy Butler has shifted the focus gently away from the New York house and disco forms of the debut; relocating to Denver and recording the album in Vienna with techno producer Patrick Pulsinger. Herc mainstay Kim Ann Foxman returns on vocals, and is joined in starring roles by Venezuelan singer Aerea Negrot, fan-turned-collaborator Shaun Wright and Kele Okereke (Bloc Party). 

The band handpick the tracks for the Lunchtime playlist including Cabaret Voltaire, Brian Eno, OMD, Yazoo and Meat Beat Manifesto.

Plus Alasdair Brotherston & Jock Mooney the creatives behind the video for Clinic's latest single Bubblegum.
