A cocktail of the super-glam to the super-local.

Alex's background is an academic one and, with a degree and a Masters under her belt, teaching seemed the natural option.
But after travelling Europe and living in Spain for a year, the classroom seemed too much like going back to school.
She spotted an ad in her local paper, in which the BBC was looking to employ a community reporter for television. 
She didn't get the telly job but she did get noticed for radio.
Alex started off her radio career with Keith Warmington, but it is on The Sangam Show where she holds her own, presenting a Sunday evening programme for Asian listeners.
