BBC Global News Director Peter Horrocks discusses financial cuts to the World Service which he says will see some 30 million fewer listeners around the world.

We hear from BBC Global News Director Peter Horrocks about why World Service audiences will fall by more than 30 million from the current weekly audience of 180 million as a result of the savings that he has had to make in response to the Government’s Public Spending.

He responds to listeners reactions to the loss of 650 World Service jobs and the closure of five language services.  Plus listeners express their opinions about the promotion of the forthcoming UK Royal Wedding to Jamie Angus who’s the Senior Commissioner in News Planning  at Global News and in charge of planning the royal wedding coverage.
