Bruce MacGregor talks to John Szwed, author of The Man Who Recorded The World, about unsung hero Alan Lomax, whose years spent travelling and recording music helped preserve traditional music, take it to a wider audience and shape the future of the music world for years to come. His visit to Scotland and subsequent recordings here were pivotal in the establishment of the School of Scottish Studies. 

Emily Roff unveils Archive Trails, a new project which aims to open up the archives of the School of Scottish Studies by commissioning three musicians to create brand new works based on their time spent in residency there. One of the musicians, Drew Wright - aka Wounded Knee - talks about his plans for the project. 

Feis Rois have just appointed their first ambassador. Julie Fowlis is to become the face of the Feis in its Silver Jubilee year. She Joins Bruce to talk about her new role and look ahead to a very special concert for Feis Rois at this year's Celtic Connections festival.
