On the beautiful, wild Isle of Skye in Scotland the teams must cross a lake with a caber.

Eight teams race through the world's toughest natural and urban environments. On the beautiful, wild Isle of Skye in Scotland they must cross a lake with a caber.

Steve Jones hosts this action-packed six-part travel adventure series. 

Eight teams of three compete in a knockout race to escape a range of urban and natural 'zones' ranging from the UK to the Far East. They're faced with a series of physical and mental challenges. Their mission: don't come last, or the Drop Zone chopper will leave you behind! 

The first Drop Zone is the beautiful Isle of Skye in Scotland. Over forty-eight hours, the teams will be pushed to their limit. On day one, they must find buried clues and face a gruelling trek across the wilds of Skye, where they have to decide between a densely packed and claustrophobic forest or a treacherous and longer coastal route. There are mentally challenging tasks along the way, including giving an impromptu guided tour of a castle, which means the difference between a night of luxury or a night in a barn. 

On day two, they must cross a lake with a caber and find a clue which helps them work out which kilted Celt each caber belongs to. Then they're racing against each other to reach the chopper, as the last team to arrive will be left behind. 

They must pull together to get ahead, but can self-confessed urbanites Streetwise manage to read a map? Will family team Pony Club stop bickering? Are Cambridge undergraduates The Geeks in danger of thinking themselves out of the competition? And have wanna-be pop stars The Candy Pops bitten off more than they can chew? Of the eight teams who land on the island, only seven will escape in the Drop Zone chopper to the next stage.
