Woman who drowned eight pet cats in a bath is jailed.

A woman who drowned eight pet cats in a bath because she claimed she could not afford a phone call to have them rescued is jailed.

Murder - Most people think that the mandatory life sentences should only be used for particularly serious cases only.  We'll get the reaction from one organisation 

Prostitutes - BBC Oxford has been given special access to a project working with women working as prostitutes in the city.  The Cranstoun Women's Service operates near Cowley Road, one of the areas red light districts.

Animal Deaths - Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after three sheep and a ram were killed at a farm in West Oxfordshire overnight and today the sentencing of an Oxfordshire woman is due, after she admitted killing eight cats in a baby bath at her home. 

Underpass Art - Now, when you think of underpasses you probably imagine a dark, dingy and damp tunnel under a road.   But there is one underpass in Cutteslowe that is being given a bit of a face lift by local young people.

Bootleg Raid - Two people have been arrested after police raided a home in Blackbird Leys and discovered thousands of fake DVDs and computer games.  Officers also found several computers that were being used to copy films at the time.

Duty will go up - in some cases by more than 50 per cent.
