It's the best way to start your weekend by tuning into the Best Time of the Day Show with Alex. Every Friday is a feelgood Friday which means even more great tunes and inspired daftness to keep you happy through the night. This morning, there are more tales of shameful snoozing in "I Fell Asleep While..." and trading limbs with animals in "The Creature Swap Shop". Today also marks the start of the all-important truck-writing season; the chosen slogan shall be revealed at the end of the show. Pause for Thought with John Kirkby comes in at 3.20am the 4.15 One-Off Canteen opens for the final time this week.
There is a new tune from Toy Hearts and vintage rock and roll from Young Jessie from Lester's Library, while the Listener's Library track comes from The Smiths. There is one more track from Album of the Week by Rumer and Record of the Week by Tone Damli. Nobody else, nowhere else.
