We revisit the soldiers featured in 2002's Radio 1 documentary Tour of Duty.

We revisit the young soldiers featured in 2002's Sony-nominated Radio 1 documentary Tour of Duty and find out what it's like to be a veteran before the age of 25.

Many young people in the UK can't remember a time when we weren't fighting in the middle-east.

And the fight has been going on so long, young men and women who
joined up at the start of the war as teenagers are now veterans by the age of 25...
...and looking to establish new lives.

The programme takes a look at how young soldiers have been forced to grow up quickly and how their experiences at war have affected them. 

Those who've left the army talk about how they have coped returning to civilian life and how, after going to war, they now view the world differently. 

This documentary hears from young British soldiers who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan since British troops took part in the invasion of Afghanistan to topple the Taliban government and to seek out Al Qaeda following 9/11.
