In our 'mystery year' of 1967 the Australian prime minister disappeared while swimming in the sea, can you name him?

Can you work out the answer to Roller Robbie's riddle? There are 10 children in an empty, square room. Each child has full sight of the entire room and everyone in it without turning their head or body, or moving in anyway other than their eyes.  Where can the teacher place a small soft toy, so that ALL but one person can see it?

Tenuous tunes are 'house' songs, linked to on this day in 1988 when a young boy from Leicestershire was given a mortgage to buy a home for his pet mice, Pinky and Perky. 

He had applied for a £28 home loan at a building society because his mice were expecting babies and they needed a bigger house.
