Jazz trumpeter Tom Arthurs performs his own suite Postcards from Pushkin.

Jazz trumpeter Tom Arthurs - with pianist Richard Fairhurst - performs his work Postcards from Pushkin, a suite commissioned jointly by the BBC and the Royal Philhamornic Society.

As well as supporting the cream of young classical artists, the New Generation Artists scheme champions rising stars of jazz. Trumpeter Tom Arthurs performs his own composition Postcards from Pushkin, a suite commissioned jointly by the BBC and the Royal Philhamornic Society which celebrates the writings of Aleksandr Pushkin with musical musings inspired by seven short extracts from his works.
