James Jolly presents music by Bizet, Ravel, Beethoven, Mozart, Wolf, Wagner and Copland.

James Jolly presents Visions of Spain and recordings from Jordi Savall and his Hesperion band.

Highlights today include Ravel's Rapsodie espagnole from Herbert von Karajan, Wagner's Prelude to Parsifal and the quartet Mir ist so wunderbar from Beethoven's Spanish opera Fidelio. Jordi Savall and his band perform music from the late 1490s, the reign of Queen Isabella of Castille, and there are two clarinet concertos in classic recordings, Mozart's from Thea King, and Copland's from Richard Stolzman.
