Sir Chay Blyth is never happier than when he is battling against the winds and the ocean currents. 

While still serving with the Parachute Regiment he first hit the headlines along with Captain John Ridgeway when they successfully rowed the Atlantic Ocean in a 20ft open boat. 

Many adventures were to follow including the first solo circumnavigation of the world from east to west.

Bryan Cooney meets Sir Chay in his home near Hawick to hear about his many exploits at sea including his dramatic rescue after capsizing off Cape Horn.
