When Slovenia declared itself independent of the Yugoslav Federation in 1991 it had to fight for its freedom - but only for ten days. Alan Johnston reports.

It was at the end of June 1991 that Slovenia declared itself independent from the Yugoslav federation.  It was the first country to break away from the former Yugoslavia and for ten days the tiny republic had to fight for its freedom. Alan Johnston takes us back.
