The Pacifica Quartet perform music by Haydn and Schubert at St George's Hall, Liverpool.

The Pacifica Quartet play at St George's Hall, Liverpool. Haydn: String Quartet in D, Op 64 No 5 (The Lark). Schubert: String Quartet No 14 in D minor, D810 (Death and the Maiden).

In the penultimate Lunchtime Concert from Liverpool's St. George's Hall this week, two string quartets by Haydn and Schubert, performed by a fantastic American ensemble - the Pacifica Quartet. The concert, which includes Haydn's "Lark" quartet and Schubert's iconic "Death and the Maiden", was recorded in March as part of the Rodewald Concert Series

SCHUBERT: String Quartet No.14 in D minor, D.810 "Death and the Maiden".
