The Belcea Quartet performs Beethoven and Schubert, including Death and the Maiden.

The Belcea Quartet in Schubert: Quartettsatz in C minor, D703. Beethoven: String Quartet in F (Razumovsky). Schubert: Death and the Maiden quartet. Plus Beethoven violin sonatas.

The Belcea Quartet, recorded live at Wigmore Hall, plays the first of the three Quartets commissioned from Beethoven by the Russian nobleman, Count Razumovsky. That is paired with Schubert's haunting late quartet, 'Death and the Maiden.'
