Jake Humphrey introduces live coverage of qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first race of 2010. After a four-month break Formula 1 is back, and the new season promises to be a belter.

All eyes will be on Michael Schumacher in qualifying, who makes his competitive return to Formula 1 with Mercedes after a three-year absence. Reigning drivers' champion Jenson Button will look to lay down a marker to his McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton, having joined the outfit in the close season.
