Taller than a two-story house and redder than a fire engine, Clifford is an optimist whose heart is as big as he is. Clifford the Big Red Dog follows the exploits of the biggest, most beloved dog plus his friends, Cleo and T-Bone and his owner, eight-year-old Emily Elizabeth.

Mrs Diller is taking care of Susie, her sister's adorable little puppy, for the weekend. To Cleo it appears that Mrs Diller likes the cute puppy better than she likes Cleo! So Cleo determines to 'out-cute' the puppy and win back Mrs Diller's affection.
