Farmer Pickles asks Bob if he will put together Scruffty's new kennel, and Bob agrees. Scrambler, Spud and Scruffty see a beaver's dam and are impressed by how it is built. A misadventure with a jump smashes the kennel components, but effective recycling sees Scruffty's kennel constructed from a wide selection of materials - just like the beaver's dam.
