Founder of Operation Raleigh, John Blashford Snell led the first expedition to conquer The Blue Nile, he was the first to cross the infamous Darien gap in Central America and at the seemingly mad suggestion that an Amazonian tribe could well use a Grand Piano he transported one 700 miles into the heart of the Jungle. Karen Darke goes on an adventure with the modern explorer who still wears a pith helmet.
