Former US Congressman Charlie Wilson, who has just died, left his mark on Afghanistan.

The former US Congressman Charlie Wilson is credited with getting America to support Afghan Mujahideen fighters in the 1980s.

When former US Congressman Charlie Wilson managed to secure billions of dollars to arm Afghan fighters in the 1980s, few could have predicted the extent of his legacy.  Owen Bennett Jones spoke to him.
