Rajan Datar finds out about the lifeline programming that is being provided by BBC Caribbean to the people of Haiti.

He talks to the head of the service, Debbie Ransome, who tells him about the logistical problems involved in broadcasting from a country whose infrastructure has been devastated.  

Also in the programme, in response to a query from a listener, Rajan takes advice from pronunciation linguist Jo Kim on how to pronounce the name of Haiti’s capital city – and asks Jo how she knows she’s right.  

And Over To You also goes behind the scenes at the British Museum to find out about the making of the series “A History of the World in 100 Objects”, which begins on the World Service this weekend.
