Among the issues raised are the effects that audience involvement is having on broadcasters; and the way in which new technology is becoming a battleground between state authorities, struggling to remain in control, and activists, using the internet to further their cause.  And Rajan hears how in Africa, government control of the international media in some countries is forcing local journalists to tell their own stories.
