The Strand talks to the Irish born author Colum McCann, who has won this year's US National Book Award for fiction for his book Let the Great World Spin.

Bill Frisell discusses, along with his long time collaborator Mike Gibbs, their latest project with the BBC Symphony orchestra.

Tom Esselmont reports on Georgia's bid to become Hollywood's new favourite location by offering a 25% tax credit to producers who make their films inside the country.

And Mark Coles reports from Chicago where he's been making an edition of The Strand looking at the vibrant cutting edge arts scene in the city.
